When you visit the Nordic Centre do you enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and the amazing facilities? We are looking for a motivated volunteer to coordinate the operation and maintenance of the lodge and other Nordic Centre buildings to ensure that these club assets are kept in tip-top shape for members and guests to enjoy.
Much of the regular cleaning and maintenance is done by users, volunteers and in some circumstances, by hired service providers. The main role of the Buildings Manager is to identify work that needs to be done, plan how to do it and organize and support volunteers or service providers to carry out the work. The director of Nordic Centre Operations provides guidance to the Buildings Manager and handles spending authorizations and strategic direction from the club’s Board of Directors.
Potential projects for the new Buildings Manager:
- Propose how best to add storage lockers (Ski S’Kool equipment, Rabbit equipment, skier lockers).
- Work with Ski Boosters and others to consider improvements to the lodge kitchen.
- Identify maintenance projects for this summer’s work bees (e.g. resurfacing the lodge deck)
