We are Hiring a Nordic Skill Development Program Coordinator

The Bulkley Valley Nordic Skill Development Program (NSDP) Coordinator is part of a team of club individuals passionate about cross country skiing. The Coordinator will provide support to the volunteers in the Nordic Skills Development Programs (which includes Biathlon, Rabbits, ADP, Masters, Ski Skool, and Adult Drop In) and draw from their strengths and skills to implement the program. Furthermore, the Coordinator will provide support for other club programs that serve the broader community, as described by this contract. The priority for the club remains one of accessibility and participation, while providing the opportunity for our club athletes and members to meet and exceed their goals. Burn Notice Week of April 13, 2025

The BC Wildfire Service plans to begin burning near the Nordic Centre this week. This is part of a FireSmart treatments designed to reduce risk to the Nordic Centre. Buring will only commence if the conditions are suitable with adequate venting to reduce impacts to smoke. If you have questions please contact trails@bvnordic.ca.

2024-2025 End of Season Notice

As the temperatures warm and the days lengthen, our 2024-2025 season is nearing its end. What a wonderful season it has been! Thanks to all our members, visitors and volunteers! April 3rd is likely to be the last day of grooming with the warming temperatures and limited snow depth. Once grooming stops the trails will close, no trail maintenance will occur and anyone skiing on the trails is doing so at their own risk. The gates and facilities including the lodge, the wax hut and the biathlon hut are expected to close on April 20th. If you have a locker, please have it emptied and cleaned out before then.
