On March 6, 2020, Spirit North is welcoming youth from Kitsumkalum, Kispiox, Witset, Lake Babine Nation and Burns Lakes to the BV Nordic Centre. To pull this off, they are looking for volunteers! To give you a general run down of the day, in the morning we gather to be welcomed on to the territory by a Wet'sewet'en Elder. Once we've welcomed the youth, we split into groups to enjoy 4 rotating stations of fun games. We break at lunch to enjoy a meal that is catered by a community member and take time to share songs and dance from the youth's communities. After lunch we host a fun race for the students to participate in before they head home around 2:30/3PM. Volunteers are needed to help set up in the morning, run stations, help with the race, and clean up at the end of the day. We welcome help for the entire day, or any part of the day!
